A Grand Canyon Rattlesnake, under some sagebrush beside the Tonto
Trail.
Smaller (and said to be more docile) than Diamondback or Timber
Rattlers, this species only lives in the Grand Canyon. Their pinkish skin
color, easily blends in with the pink dirt of the Tonto Platform. They're easy to
miss, and I didn't see this one until I was almost on top of it.
